I see all of these other peoples' wonderful reviews of Endurance Auto Repair shop and I have to wonder if they are even legitimate. I just picked up my car (the fourth Steve has worked on for me) to find it in worse condition than when I dropped it off to him. This is not the first, or second, time that I have picked my car up from him, only to have a major issue arise, which was not an issue with the car before leaving it with him. I know of at least one other person who has had a pattern of bad dealings with this auto shop, where her car would have a major issue wrong with it soon after her car's oil changes at his shop. In addition, Steve and his crew failed to address any of my major concerns with the car. HE ALSO FAILED TO NOTIFY ME THAT THE REPAIR QUOTE DID NOT INCLUDE PROPERLY REASSEMBLING MY CAR!!! And now, because he did not include its replacement in the quote and he opted to cut and weld the exhaust, instead. Now, it is rattling and shaking the whole car. There was nothing wrong with the exhaust prior to this last job performed at his shop. On top of it all, unlike the better reviews on this forum, I am almost never able to get a straight answer out of Steve, the head mechanic and owner, when I call to find out about my vehicle. And, yes, *I* have to call them. They didn't even call me to tell me that my car was ready to be picked up....TWICE! I COULD NOT GET GOOD SERVICE AT THIS SHOP TO SAVE MY LIFE!!! And, if I could, I would give it minus 8 stars. On a side note: It is sad that you resorted to telling the world about my personal financial business in your original response to my post here, as far as Social Services helping me pay for the repairs on my vehicle, because I am currently working 3, yes 3, jobs in order to try to provide for my family and still cannot afford to repair my vehicle. I hope this further discredits you and the way you do business, because it shows your obvious lack of couth in dealing with your customers. Also, do you mean to say that you did not feel obligated to complete the job that you quoted for the repairs that could be covered by Social Services, because it was being paid for by Social Services? The fact is that when you gave me the 3 options to choose from, you failed to tell me that this option in particular would leave my car sounding like it is missing part of the muffler or exhaust pipe. Also, you found out about this from me via text message prior to my leaving this Google comment. I HAVE to text you, because whenever I call, I have to ask you questions through your desk manager and a lot gets lost in the transfer of said verbal messages. Also, you did not follow through with communicating with me as a result of my text message, which were both polite and straight-forward.
Stephanie - Thank you for leaving a review about our business. We are sorry that you have not had a good experience here. We are sad to learn about this through Google, rather than from you. In response to a few of your negative comments about our business, we do need to clarify a few things. When a vehicle (1997 Audi A4) needs more than $3075.00 in repairs and the party who is paying for the repairs only authorizes $1000 or less, we can not bring the vehicle up to par with 1/3 of the necessary repairs. You received the estimate for the repairs via email and were aware of the budget that we were required to stay within. The party who was offering to pay for the repairs was also aware of this estimate and requested that we fix what we could within that budget to make the vehicle safer than it was when it came in. The repairs that were made to your car were the primary safety issues, as ordered by the party paying for the repairs. If there was an issue with the way the car sounded, and you did not received our response to your text, we would have been happy to talk with you about it and explain what we did if you would have come back into the shop or given us a call. Due to the holidays, the check was not received in the mail from the party paying for the repairs until this week. We are not able to release the car until the payment is received. Once we received this check, our secretary called you, attempting to leave a message, but the automated message stated that your phone was not accepting messages at that time. We apologize for not attempting to call you again later on that day. Sincerely - Endurance Auto Repair and Tire
